Hi! Thank you :o)
Our daughters are 10, 8 and 6... They are not raw vegan (yet), but vegetarian and eat lots of fruits and veggies.
I was vegetarian too for years, then vegan and since november 2012 raw vegan, I am trying to stick to 80-10-10 and now I would like to transition my husband and kids into the lifestyle too ;o)
I hope to find some help and stimulation over here ;o)

Thanks (: my daughter is already trying to grab my food & she's a week shy of 5 months. I think that's waaayy too soon. Actually, I think 6 months is way too soon as well, but idk. I'm waiting on Karen Ranzi's book, Creating Healthy Children, to arrive though (:

Hi Mera!  Thanks for the welcome!  My daughter is 25 :)  Thankfully she is cooking for her Dad (my husband) these days.  She's a chef.  So I can focus on my fruits and salads :)  I help them out with smoothies, juices, and salads when they want them.

And thanks to you for gracing it with your presence! I hope shambo is doing fine, my path keeps getting better and better and I'm really making some serious progress. I might post an update, but I want to keep doing these new things for a month or so to have some ground covered before I announce "it works!". =D

Does Family/Community Support Change With Children's Age?

Posted on May 26, 2012 at 4:44 2 Comments

I'm just curious about the kind and quality of support you receive during different phases of your child's growth?

Do you anticipate things will change when your children become a certain age?

Are there types of support you welcome and types you reject and is it due to your children's age or the kind of support given by your family/community or is it something else?

Do you want any type of support you're not getting in raising your children??

What are your kids ages and how does media and technology play a role in your household?

Do you have any ideas, preferences or goals surrounding rather you want your kids to have a low-tech life or to be tech savvy, and how does this change with age?

Are your kids on the internet?  Are they aware of the internet?  Do they play computer games, watch TV or DVDs?

Have you done skype conversations with your children, or do they have their own email…
