I've been around the LFRV diet/lifestyle for 2,5 years. That is a very short period of time. Still I've seen lots of people come to it, give it a try, and back off; something didn't work, didn't fit, didn't meet their expectations.
I can't speak for all of them, but I can speak for myself, and at least some of them.
What the 80/10/10, or low fat raw vegan diet does, is it takes your hiding places away. Rips you bare. You've got to face who you are, and guess what - not…

This is a reply of mine on 30BaD, re-posted here as I think it fits here.
I think there is an inherent problem in debating and creating ethical codes and belief systems in our day and age, and that is the state of mankind. Your statement of subjective moralism may apply today, but only because the vast majority of mankind has little understanding of and even less…

I have had this blog post at the back of my mind for some time now. It has recently been gliding towards the front and has now surfaced.
From my reading of various children- and psychology-related books, I seem to remember there once existed (possibly still does?) a branch of psychology which maintains that the mind of a newborn child is a blank page where anything can be written. I don't remember who it was - possibly…

Here's a Papua New Guinean tribe. They build their homes in trees. Beautiful, aren't they?
Now, imagine a Western parent with toddlers up there.

I doubt there are many 'alternative' parenting books my wife hasn't read. I remember one, written by a mother, where the author brought up this very subject. She had consciously trained herself so as not to allow her fear guide her…

Lynsey McKean said… Thank you Jack, Ive actually just been reading some of your replies to posts here with regards to kids and lfrv diet. Already feel like I have a much clearer idea of how to get the kids on board. Fun clearly being the main element..i think i was getting to stressed about it all and they probably sensed this!

Thanks Jack. I haven't been on here for ages.
I haven't had any ultrasound scans but she's kicking vigorously and I'm feeling great. Bit tired still. we are in the process of moving so everythings up in the air.

Marina Williams said… Hi Jack!
Unfortunately, being the creator of the 811 singles group I did not find love there.
My husband and I went to high school together and we reunited last year in April. It was on and off because of long distance. In some ways I wish I had met someone on the forum that has experienced the benefits of the 811 lifestyle but I have to accept what is and he is actually very open to it.
I feel very blessed to have found 811, my husband and to be pregnant :)

What an excellent day today was for making quality connections. Yes I imagine we could talk for hours! So many common interests.
