my children went to school? In the last few days the possibility of my children going to the local school has become a bit of a topic at our house. The boys are super keen on sports and are…Continue

I've been thinking about this concept for a while and would like to develop it further into what will hopefully be a more coherent article. Permaculture in gardening terms is about designing and…Continue

Jack said… You are most ♥ welcome to post it Michelle, I doubt you could post anything I wouldn't approve of!
Lovely to have you sharing your extensive knowledge here ♥ Hope your councelling activities are flourishing!
(BTW, I'm not planning on spending next winter here - the cold, rain & misery would kill me; my wife might agree to spend at least some of the winter in SE Asia & Oz! And maybe even stay, not return... We're discussing it =D Would absolutely love to meet you, Queensland would be our #1 destination in Oz if we make it there!)
Jack said… I sent you an invite to the new Meet and Greet group, a private group (content only visible to group members) where we can share more of ourselves - photos, stories, as much as we feel like - with less exposure. I've added a presentation of myself and my family and more are coming up. I sent two invites as my first attempt failed; disregard the first but do click on the second. The invites were e-mailed to the address you registered on LFRV families.
If it didn't work and you want to join, let me know - I'll send you a new invite!
♥ Jack

Jack said… Super to hear =D I've had my share of 8, 80 and 800 km moves, I hope my next one will be 8,000 km! ;-D Ugh, stuff, dreadful things. We made away with everything except 2 suitcases a year ago but somehow they keep cropping up, like mushrooms when it's raining. Glad to hear you've moved in and in the process of finding your bearings!

Jack said… I have been recommended Pratchett on many occasions but never got around to actually reading him. I have had a good laugh at some quotations though and will no doubt enjoy him once I make the acquaintance. I immensely enjoy the kind of fun Adams makes while pondering the great questions of existence. While not strictly religious, I firmly believe that whatever causes the universe to be has a most profound sense of humour.
Never heard of the magazine, will look it up - thanks! As will no doubt emerge in my future posts here, our family is very much a (painful) work in progress. It often feels like having found a torch in darkness, only to realize the batteries are out of juice and there's nowhere to recharge them. Knowing 'it all' - having no strength to 'do anything about it'. I'm slowly seeing things that can be done and perhaps also getting glimpses of how they could be done.
Jack said… Welcome Erthmum! Lovely to hear you have a supporting husband - with just two adults in a family, the importance of that relationship cannot be overestimated!
I also hope to be a part of a real, true and honest community one day. My 1st step towards that is becoming real, true and honest myself.
